A MOLLE system can be used to attach multi-tools, knives, magazine pouches, and other items to tactical backpacks, rucksacks, and load-bearing vests. MOLLE, forgetting its feminine-sounding for modular, lightweight load-carrying equipment. The MOLLE system is made of panels of heavy-gauge nylon fabric called PALS (pouch attachment ladder system.) These panels are stitched on backpacks and rucksacks, load-bearing vests, and other gear. The purpose of this is to enable you to easily attach MOLLE pouches and accessories to your equipment so you can access them on the go in a secure, flexible manner.

With a MOLLE system, officers can carry a variety of police gear with ease. Magazine and grenade pouches, canteen carriers, first-aid kits, sustainment pouches, holsters, and many other police gear are available. It is common for MOLLE systems to contain straps specifically designed to weave between an attachment and the equipment it is attached to. Using these sticks, your attachments remain securely in place.

The first step to attaching MOLLE equipment to a webbed platform is to choose the perfect position. You should arrange your gear according to your convenience. If you’re using a backpack or other piece of equipment, experiment with the placement of your MOLLE pouches on top to determine what the best configuration is before you attach anything. Then, after you have attached the SlickStick, make sure that the end is snap-connected. You can also thread the stick through the webbing on the bottom row that your MOLLE attachment will align with, then snap it in place.

To further secure the stick or strap, weave a row of nylon webbing through the first row on the backside of the attachment. As you tighten it, ensure that it is secure. Once the snaps or buttons are at the top, weave until they are completely covered. Repeat these steps for each SlickStick or strap until your attachment is complete. To ensure your gear stays in place, snap, or button the attached parts, so they stay in place.
